Red Rock Communications Initiates Formal Internship Program to Provide Students with a "Complete" Work Experience
ST. LOUIS (Oct.
16, 2001) - Red Rock Communications Inc. has initiated a formal, comprehensive Internship Program with local Colleges and Universities. The goal of the program is to provide students and recent graduates with the opportunity to hone their specific academic skills while at the same time gaining valuable experience in what it is like to work in the "real world."
The Red Rock Internship Program exposes participants to the day-to-day mechanics of running a business. Most internship programs simply impart experience in performing a particular job function. "We believe including interns in the key aspects of running a mid-size business will better prepare them for the real challenges that lie ahead," says Lee Taylor a Principal at Red Rock. "We offer internship positions for those interested in Account/Product Management, Graphic Design and Interactive Design."
Red Rock pushes the intern's envelope. "Since I joined the Red Rock Intern Program in August, I have already had multiple opportunities to step out of my Interactive Design role. I've been included in many key management discussions regarding how to actually manage and grow a business. It's a peek "behind the scenes" that I don't think I'd be able to get anywhere else." said Christina Franzen, an intern from Webster University.
Red Rock Communications, located at 1310 Papin in St. Louis' historic Blanke Building, believes better business decisions begin with a vision.
